I thought up a new type of poetry. Sort of.

Let me explain. I thought of a type of poetry, but of course someone else could have already thought of it. And it's only poetry in a vauge sense of the word, becasue there's not rhyming pattern, and no rhythm pattern, there's just a pattern.

It goes like this (these are a few lines from an in-progress poem):

End: a diving leap. (then you repeat the word leap, like such)
Leap: of faith. (now repeat the word faith)
Faith: an empty church. (do you get the point yet?)
Church: walking barefoot.

There's nothing specific you have to say for each word, just whatever you feel like. The first thing that leaps to your head, a definition, something funny, a quote from your favorite song. Whatever you feel like. It's quite fun, but they can stretch on quite a long time.

When you're done, you end it by doing a little sonnet like thing. AABBCDE. Ends it off quite nicely.

I'm going to try and upload my first such repetition poem, it's called "Sleep".
